International Marketing
The FDOC’s international marketing efforts are supported by our partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) who help to enhance our export opportunities. Through the Market Access Program (MAP), FAS aides in the funding of our overseas marketing and promotional activities. This funding supports activities such as consumer advertising, public relations, point-of-sale demonstrations, participation in trade fairs and exhibits, market research, and technical assistance. As our campaigns are built on generic marketing and promotions we are required to make a minimum contribution to these funds of 10 percent.
