Associated Press reporter Tamara Lush highlights the work being done by a group of University of Florida researchers using steam to treat HLB-infected trees.

The researchers at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences have tented and then enveloped trees in 136-degree steam for about 30 seconds in an attempt to kill citrus greening bacteria, Lush reports.

Their findings will be presented at the International Citrus beverage Conference in Clearwater on Friday.
