Bartow, Fla – In the January USDA forecast of the 2023 – 2024 citrus season, the USDA projected production at 20.5 million boxes of Florida Oranges, 2.4 million boxes of Florida Grapefruit, and 550,000 boxes of Florida Tangerines.
“The stability shown since the initial crop forecast for 2024 underscores our positive outlook for the future of Florida Citrus and is a testament to the resolve of this industry,” said Shannon Shepp, Florida Department of Citrus Executive Director. “The dedication and work of those in Florida Citrus produce vital economic contributions to the State of Florida, and our focus will continue to be on providing the necessary resources to support them now and for the future.”
