Kick your day off with a glass of nutritious Florida Orange Juice and a bowl of hearty oatmeal. This easy-to-make slow cooker oatmeal recipe is perfect to prepare the night before and provides multiple mornings of breakfast that the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add oats, sugar, vanilla, milk, water, and blueberries to the slow cooker. Gently stir ingredients to combine.
  2. Cook for 8 to 10 hours on low.
  3. After cooking, stir oatmeal well to combine ingredients.
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle on top of each serving.

Fun Tip: Use a slow cooker liner or rub coconut oil on the bottom of the slow cooker to prevent sticking and burning.
